About Ensenada Outreach Center 

EOC is located 4 miles  south of Ensenada in the sleepy little pueblo of Chapultepec.  It is a safe, enclosed campus within walking distance of the local beaches.  In general, the community is clean and rich in Mexican culture. It is deeper into Mexico than most of the border cities YUGO ministers in, and is more representative of the Mexican culture.  

The climate is unusually temperate and comfortable for ministry throughout the year.  Ensenada is situated along the west coast of Baja California, Mexico, approximately 60 miles south of the border.  Ensenada is an area often overlooked for short-term missions because of its reputation for tourism.  However, less than 1% of the 600,000 people of Ensenada are tourists, and less than 5% are evangelical Christian.

Our Ensenada location offers the most flexibility for small groups to minister through construction, Childrens VBS ministry and sports ministry. 

Facilities
The Ensenada Outreach Center (EOC) is able to hold groups of up to 200 people.  It provides a close-up look at what missionary life is like, as it is run by Scott Wester, a full-time YUGO missionary.  Guests are lodged in dorms with hot showers, all within a protective setting.  Three meals a day are provided in a comfortable dining area. Separate meeting areas are also available for groups to have devotion and ministry time so that teams can get together to bond, unify, and prepare for work or ministry.  Scott encourages you to come alongside and assist in the ongoing ministry opportunities.

Ministry Opportunities
At the Ensenada Outreach Center, you are encouraged to use your creativity.  Ask yourself what strengths, gifts and interests your group has. Would you be interested in building a house for a poor family?  Working with Indigenous peoples?   Conducting street ministry or sports ministry?  Or, other mercy ministries like feeding children, teaching children or providing a medical clinic? Whatever your interests are, we can coordinate the ministry opportunities for you and even provide interpreters if available. YUGO is also able to provide VBS materials for an additional fee.

Costs/Fees
Your group can make a difference in Mexico!  All reservations must be made directly with the  San Dimas Office prior to sending in a deposit or any fees (please see price chart below). Please be advised there are additional fees involved with the building/construction ministries.  The needs in Mexico are evident and this opportunity creates a life-changing experience for you as well.

Becoming an Intern
As an extension of YUGO's short-term missions program, you are invited to come and intern with us at Ensenada!  We desire for you to know God's will in the area of missions from first-hand experience.  Interns are invited to come at any time of the year and for any length of time!  We would love to give you a window view of World Missions!
