Mission Trip Planning Resources
What is a YUGO Outreach?
YUGO outreaches are an opportunity for groups of any age to participate in a one week cross-cultural ministry. Most teams that come to YUGO are High School youth groups. However, all Junior High, College, Church and Family teams are welcome.
Training: A full training package (included) contains videos, handbooks, sample crafts and teaching curriculum so that your team will come to Mexico well-prepared.
Schedule: Each morning you will be fed, receive on-site training and be spiritually challenged during worship and chapel. After lunch your team will head out to their ministry assignment: a local Mexican church. You will return to camp in the evening for a time of prayer and share.
Ministry: When you arrive at the ministry site, you may canvas the neighborhood to share Christ and encourage people to attend your meetings. You will share Bible stories, give testimonies and make crafts during the children's, women's and sports ministries. After a short break for dinner, it'll be time for evening ministries! During evening services, your group may perform special music, show evangelical films, preach a sermon, and give testimonies, all in coordination with your local Mexican pastor.
