outreach ministry in Mexico.  During the summer, 2,000 youth and their sponsors come to Tijuana to minister to the Mexican
people.  Approximately 2,000 Mexicans will make first time decisions to follow Christ as a result.  Our Summer Staffing Team serves behind the scenes, enabling women's, children's, and sports

The primary job of our Summer Staffing Team (SST) participants will be to serve as support staff to our full time missionaries.  SST members will have the opportunity to encourage hundreds of teenagers in following the Great Commission while taking part in a mentoring program on the field.  There is even a chance to take home some earnings for all of your hard work!

Ministry Positions
Each of our Summer Staffing Team interns will work in two of the following service areas.  Jobs may rotate throughout the summer and some positions require previous work experience.  (Please refer to the SST application and brochure for more details.)

Dates and Cost
The 2008 program dates are
June 8, 2008 - August 23, 2008.
This is a ten week program, however, the last week is optional if you need to return to school at that time.  The first week is orientation week and is mandatory for everyone.  

The Summer Staffing Team program will be based in Tijuana, Mexico at YUGO's Tijuana Outreach Center.  SST interns will be able to stay in dormitory housing for most of the summer.

The cost for the 2008 Summer Staffing Team program is $1,950.  All SST interns are expected to raise their own support.  YUGO is a "faith-supported" ministry, meaning all participants (and staff) raise needed funds by sharing their ministry and financial needs with their church and interested individuals.  We will be giving you materials to help with this important part of the program.  Raising financial and prayer support are all part of the "missionary" experience we desire to give you.  You will come away with a greater respect for these resources at the end of the summer.

All SST interns must raise the mandatory base cost of $950.  Because we would like to offer our SST interns some compensation for all of their hard work, we will pay you up to $1,000 if you are able to raise the full $1,950.   Once again, the $950 fee is mandatory, but the $1,000 compensation is optional.
